Graduated in Industrial Chemistry (Engineering course) in 1990 at University of Tirana (ALB). Graduated for the second time in Chemistry Science at University of Bari (Italy) in October 2011, she received her Ph.D in "Civil Engineering, Environmental, Land Planning and Chemistry – Curriculum: Chemistry" in April 2014 at Polytechnic University of Bari (Italy), defending her Ph.D. thesis entitled “Integrated Assessment of Harbour Sedimentsâ€. During her Ph.D., she spent five months at Analytical Laboratory of University of Basques Country (Spain) and working on “Integrated Hazard Assessment of Harbour Sediment: metal bioavailability in sediments of Southern Adriatic Ports†flanked the research group of Prof. Madariaga J.M. e Prof. De Diego A. After PhD courses she started a post-doctoral research at the Polytechnic University of Bari at the same thematic area. Since her Ph.D activity, that has started at 2011, she has been dealing with the “Sediment characterisation and integrated evaluation of hazard risks within coastal areaâ€. She deals also with Green Catalysis applicated to Environmental Issues (i.e. hydrogenation of nitro-arenes pollutants or dehalogenation of PCB by using metal nano catalysts (Pd, Ni), etc.). She has also involved as project manager in different international/European projects for Enviromental Management System (EMS) for Port Areas, dealing with the coordination of projects financed by Cross-Border or other EU programmes and funds. Her research activity is documented by several articles in Scopus/ISI journals.
